Columbus Day
Christopher Columbus
was a Genoese explorer, navigator, and colonizer, born in the Republic of
Genoa. Under the auspices of the Catholic Monarchs of Spain, he completed four
voyages across the Atlantic Ocean. He discovered the "New World" of
the Americas on an expedition sponsored by King Ferdinand of Spain in 1492.
Reflection:
I think that was pretty cool of Columbus to accidently stumble upon the Americas. Because of him we have adapted differently and found new cultures. Here's the thing I don't really understand. Was he a illegal alien or was he an immigrant.
