In clinical, counseling, school, or health service settings, students usually complete a 1-year internship as part of the doctoral program. The Psy. D. is a clinical degree and is often based on practical work and examinations rather than a dissertation.

Reflection:

I don’t want to become this career because I’m not good at talking to people, and I can’t help others with their problems. I can barely handle mines.

-          William Penn

Reflection:

I think what William Penn is trying to say is that if you do something and you get praised for it, it’s right. However if it’s wrong and you have a gut feeling that you messed up don’t do. Absolutely, don’t do it. And it goes for everyone. Women and men. Children and elders. If you don’t feel like it’s right don’t do it. Always follow your instinct and choose the right.

“A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches.”

-          Proverbs 22:1

Reflection:

I think what this statement from Proverbs 22:1 means is that it is always good to have a good name/title. It’s your reputation. You have to take care of it and own it. It’s your name. It’s more valuable than money. It should always be taken care of.

A good name is better than anything you can achieve in this life.”

-          Coach K (Mike Krzyweski)

Reflection:

I think to get a good name you have to do various things. Like setting a goal for yourself. Doing well rounded things in your community. Having good grades and actually caring in school. Being the super hero of the town. Help out with your school. Create a good character because all you have is yourself in this life.

Columbus Day

Columbus Day

Christopher Columbus was a Genoese explorer, navigator, and colonizer, born in the Republic of Genoa. Under the auspices of the Catholic Monarchs of Spain, he completed four voyages across the Atlantic Ocean. He discovered the "New World" of the Americas on an expedition sponsored by King Ferdinand of Spain in 1492.

Reflection:

I think that was pretty cool of Columbus to accidently stumble upon the Americas. Because of him we have adapted differently and found new cultures. Here's the thing I don't really understand. Was he a illegal alien or was he an immigrant.

My Day So Far

My Day So Far

I don’t know, I guess my day is going okay I guess. My friends are doing okay. I’m doing okay, I don’t have cheer practice today so I’m kind of disappointed because that’s where I let all my energy out and I can relax and I can have fun but I don’t know. Today isn’t really my day, I have a headache and I want to go home. I just got out the pool from period three. This day just keeps getting weird. I don’t really feel like doing anything other than staying home. I don’t know. I just don’t feel good today.

I think what James E. Faust is trying to say is that when we strive for obedience, it will not be something that is a bugging matter. I think what Faust is saying that obedience will get you far in life if only you don’t consider it a burden or something, it won’t become a struggle if you try to achieve obedience. So listen to your elders everyone.
