“Obedience sums up our entire duty”

Reflection:

I think what Horsea Ballou meant by this quote is that no matter what you do, obedience is the key. You cannot do a task without having obedience to actually complete and follow directions. Horsea Ballou was correct.

Autogenic Training

Autogenic Training

Duties and Responsibilities:

Autogenic training (AT) is a technique that teaches your body to respond to your verbal commands. These commands "tell" your body to relax and control breathing, blood pressure, heartbeat, and body temperature. They help reduce stress and achieve relaxation.

Salary:

$35,000-$142,000

Education:

A degree in Autogenic Training

Reflection:

I wouldn’t want to become a Autogenic Trainer because I don’t even know how to calm myself down and reach relaxation. I think this job would be too stressful even for me because I just don’t know if the patient would be lying that they are calm or not. I don’t know, it just doesn’t seem interesting.

9/11 Memorial

September 11, 2001 Memorial

September 11, 2001. The day of death I would call it.  This day always haunted me.. The news all over the world were broadcasting the attack. It scares me to know that till this day there is still things like this going on with the world. It’s not even like as if it was a joke. The world is certainly coming to an end. Some people say this was a conspiracy because the day before the attack all the important board members of the World Trade Center was given a day off. As if they knew this was happening. I just don’t believe that the government really didn’t care of what had happened. They try to swipe it away like every single war or fight or outbreak that happens. 209 firefighters dead, 78 policemen missing, 3,000 people died in the attacks, including the 227 civilians and 19 hijackers aboard the four planes.

Reflection:

My respect and condolences goes out to the ones who have lost their loved ones on that tragic day. I remember my father always telling me stories. And the funny part was, I was actually dying when this occurred. I was being rushed to the hospital because my lungs weren’t functioning. I mean I wasn’t there when it occurred, but literally, right when the Twin Towers were hit, I immediately stopped breathing.

“The key to freedom is obedience.”

-          Boyd K. Packer

Reflection:

I think what Boyd K. Packer meant was that obedience isn’t just some ordinary words that flies off your tongue like that word ‘if’ does. Obedience is the key to freedom by showing that what you do and how you follow the command or instruction that was assigned to you, you’d be praised genuinely and maybe you’d be let off the hook first and you can do your own thing after you’re done with your task. Just like in this class! If you’re done with your work earlier, you can have free time because you obeyed the command that Mr. Haymore has instructed you to do.

Obedience

2.       The geometry teacher told the students to do their homework assignment and turn it in the following day. The students did as told.

“What you are as a person is far more important than what you are as a basketball player.”

-John Wooden

I think what John Wooden meant as you are as person is that it doesn’t matter how great you play on the field or perform on the stage or how well you play on the floor, it’s all about your characteristics. It only matters if you are a CTR person and show well sportsmanship. That’s all it really matters. John Wooden is absolutely correct about this quote.
